INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALUMINUM

SUBLIMATION BLANKS

Temp and Time Aluminum Blanks

350-365 degrees for 60-75 seconds. Darker colors and larger sized pieces require higher temp and time. Use light to light medium pressure for heat pressing.

My normal setting is 355 to 365 degrees for 60 seconds with an auto license plate and light pressure (20lbs). A 12"x18" print @ 390 for 60 seconds with higher pressure - 24 to 30 lbs

My normal setting is 360 degrees for 60 seconds with an auto license plate using medium pressure. A 12"x18" print @ 400 for 75-90 seconds with medium to heavy pressure.

Two Sided White and small items ( dog tags, 2" round, biz cards) use 350 degrees max, 60 seconds max and VERY light pressure.

Material Set Up

***PEEL CLEAR FILM OFF BEFORE PUTTING BLANKS ON HEAT PRESS.

  • Clean blank with alcohol
  • Prepress for 5 to 10 seconds if needed to remove moisture
  • Place a piece of protective paper on bottom platen. Place your picture face up on bottom platen. Place you blank (white side) down on your picture. Place another piece of protective paper on top covering entire item.

Note: The above information has produced consistent fine art quality results using an Epson printer and Epson Inks. Other inks can cause varying results. All heat presses are different so you may need to find what temperature works best with your heat press.
